Continuing Crossover Week, this time checking back in with Sundar the Sunderer, a supporting character in Guilded Age who was last seen in a somewhat compromising position, but may not have sundered his last on-panel sund.

Even though I know that woolly thinking aggravates me, I sort of miss the days when we were naive enough to believe a new communication medium was the harbinger to some sort of tech-based utopia. You could see a thought process like Sundar’s in the 1950s with TV, and again in the 1990s with the Web, but these days the proselytizers of new devices seem to be appealing less to our social ideals and more to our childlike instincts: “Look how happy this can make you! Look how cool it is! And pretty! You want one.”
